Where are you located?
Upton Barn is located on our 60 acre private property in Drummond Township, Lanark County. Our address is 2519 Drummond Concession 12a in Lanark.
What is your venue capacity?
Upton Barn welcomes wedding celebrations of up to 100 guests, including the couple. Our beautiful new Reception House offers a comfortable indoor setting for seated dinners, speeches, and dancing, while our original barn provides an inviting space for cocktail hour and bar service. For more intimate celebrations, we also offer thoughtfully curated wedding packages designed for smaller guest counts.
When can I book my wedding or special event at Upton Barn?
We are currently accepting bookings for 2027 and 2028! While our official 2028 pricing is still being finalized, we are delighted to offer locked-in current rates for all 2027 celebrations.

Do you have a designated ceremony space?
On a beautiful sunny day, imagine exchanging vows along our wildflower-lined ceremony pathway, beneath a romantic white pergola surrounded by lush forests and natural bedrock. Should the weather have other plans, our new Reception House offers a beautiful indoor ceremony alternative. With its light-filled interiors and elegant architectural details, your ceremony can be thoughtfully reimagined without compromising the romance of the occasion.
What is your policy regarding outside food and beverage vendors?
We welcome any licensed & insured third-party vendors to come and service your wedding day and special event. To explore the full range of options for your event, please request our Recommended Vendors List.
Could you please provide information on local accommodations for guests?
From cozy B&Bs to well-appointed hotels, your guests will have many options for a comfortable overnight stay in Perth, Carleton Place, Kanata & more: - Clyde Hall Bed & Breakfast, Lanark - Perth Parkside Inn and Spa, Perth - Nevis Estate, Perth - The Grand Hotel, Carleton Place - Brookstreet Hotel, Kanata - Holiday Inn & Suites, Kanata
Can we bring our own alcohol?
We are delighted to offer thoughtfully coordinated bar service options to complement your celebration. All alcohol must be served through designated bar service arrangements under the appropriate Special Occasion Permit (SOP). Couples may explore our recommended bar service partners for assistance with staffing, beverage planning, and additional bar essentials. For the comfort and safety of all guests, outside alcohol may not be brought onto or consumed anywhere on the property outside of the approved bar service arrangements.
Do you allow pets at Upton Barn?
We love pets! You're welcome to include your furry friend in your ceremony, just please keep them leashed and ensure any messes are cleaned up. Ask us for our preferred Dog Handling Service, to accompany your little one on your special day!
Arrival & departure times?
Your wedding-day access begins at 10:00 AM, allowing plenty of time for preparations and those special moments leading up to your celebration. Following your wedding, you and your vendor team are welcome to return the next morning between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM for final collection and cleanup. All amplified music must conclude in accordance with applicable noise requirements and your venue agreement, with guest departure times outlined in your booking contract.
Is Upton Barn wheelchair accessible?
At Upton Barn, we strive to make your event accessible and enjoyable for all your guests. While we offer separate parking and a dedicated entrance for wheelchair and vendor access, our luxury portable washrooms are not currently wheelchair accessible. For guests requiring wheelchair-accessible facilities, we recommend including a wheelchair-friendly portable washroom as part of your event arrangements. We are happy to provide recommendations for local suppliers.
How do you handle weddings on rainy days?
Rain or shine, your wedding day deserves to feel every bit as magical as you imagined. Beginning June 2027, our beautiful new Reception House will provide a comfortable, climate-controlled indoor alternative for ceremonies and receptions. With soft natural light, elegant white interiors, and room for up to 100 guests, we can thoughtfully transition your celebration indoors should the weather require. Our original Upton Barn and indoor bar also provide a welcoming space for cocktail hour, allowing your celebration to flow beautifully throughout the day. We'll explore your preferred rain plan together during our planning sessions, ensuring every detail feels considered and beautifully suited to your vision.
