Where are you located?
Upton Barn is located on our 60 acre private property in Drummond Township, Lanark County. Our address is 2519 Drummond Concession 12a in Lanark.
What is your venue capacity?
We can host up to 100 guests for your wedding or special event.
When can I book my wedding or special event at Upton Barn?
We are currently accepting bookings for both 2026 and 2027. Guided tours are available on Sundays and Mondays through June to October.

Do you have a designated ceremony space?
We're so excited to share the space we've prepared for you to say your "I dos." On an ideal day, we envision you exchanging vows at the end of a stunning wildflower-lined path, beneath a white pergola surrounded by forests, and standing on a beautiful bedrock base. In less-than ideal weather, we envision you saying your vows underneath the entrance of your marquee tent, overlooking our beautiful gardens and cottage-country barn. The options are truly endless, with beautiful backdrops in just about every corner of Upton Barn.
What is your policy regarding outside food and beverage vendors?
We welcome any licensed & insured third-party vendors to come and service your wedding day and special event. To explore the full range of options for your event, please request our Recommended Vendors List.
Could you please provide information on local accommodations for guests?
From cozy B&Bs to well-appointed hotels, your guests will have many options for a comfortable overnight stay in Perth, Carleton Place, Kanata & more: - Clyde Hall Bed & Breakfast, Lanark - Perth Parkside Inn and Spa, Perth - Nevis Estate, Perth - The Grand Hotel, Carleton Place - Brookstreet Hotel, Kanata - Holiday Inn & Suites, Kanata
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes! You will need a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) from the AGCO and single-day event insurance. We are happy to provide recommendations on sourcing and serving as requested!
Do you allow pets at Upton Barn?
We love pets! You're welcome to include your furry friend in your ceremony, just please keep them leashed and ensure any messes are cleaned up. Ask us for our preferred Dog Handling Service, to accompany your little one on your special day!
Arrival & departure times?
You and your party are welcome to come and set up as early as 11am! We do ask that all music be turned off by 11PM, and to have all guests departed by midnight. You and your team are welcome back on the morning after for a later cleanup!
Is Upton Barn wheelchair accessible?
At Upton Barn, we strive to make your event accessible and enjoyable for all your guests. While we offer separate parking and a dedicated entrance for wheelchair and vendor access, our luxury portable washrooms are not currently wheelchair accessible. For guests requiring wheelchair-accessible facilities, we recommend including a wheelchair-friendly portable washroom as part of your event arrangements. We are happy to provide recommendations for local suppliers.
How do you handle weddings on rainy days?
At Upton Barn, we want your special day to be perfect, rain or shine. For smaller ceremonies, our charming barn offers a beautiful indoor alternative. For tented weddings of up to 100 guests, we envision your ceremony taking place at the tent's entrance, with our stunning hydrangea gardens and historic barn creating a picturesque backdrop for you to say your "I do's". We want your wedding to be absolutely magical, even in less-than ideal weather!
